Caregivers Get First-Aid and CPR Certification

Caregivers from as far as Sacramento joined their peers in the North Bay yesterday for CPR and First Aid certification training.

Hosted at a new training site, it was provided for free to caregivers by the company through Vive CPR, in addition to home care aide and documentation trainings.

Dau, a caregiver currently serving a client in Fairfield, said the training was eye-opening.

“We may know the procedures, but we can’t apply them if we are not calm in an emergency,” he said.

“We love caring for our clients, and with trust comes responsibility. These trainings make us better caregivers.

“I came from Sacramento just for this recertification, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity.”

DFHC Chief Executive Officer, Poasa Koroitamana, said the company was committed to caregiver growth and client care.

“The continuous upskilling of our caregivers is reflected in the positive feedback we receive from families,” he said.

“It motivates us to see our caregivers eager to be lifelong learners.

“Caregiving is in our blood, and with proper guidance, our clients can expect care that goes beyond expectations.”

So far in 2025, DFHC has trained nearly 100 caregivers through a mix of in-person and online sessions.
